Basic C&R x 2 days. (Instructors course available)
£140 group discounts available
This is a basic two day course designed to give candidates an entry level knowledge of the skills
required when communications are no longer an option.
As there is currently no national standard for this type of training we have examined various
methods used by Police, Prison Services and Security, here and in the United States. We have
included only those methods which work on the street and could be defended by using the current
conflict resolution model for justification as used by British police officers and current legislation
and common law regarding use of force.

ONLY COURSES IN THE UK ACCREDITED BY THE I.P.S.A
Proof of competence in C&R required
If you have been issued cuffs, bring them with you as its better to learn with your own equipment.

With the upward trend by all levels of society to resist any form of authority, the use of handcuffs by
security officers is becoming more wide spread.  Again there is no national standard to work with.
We at FTS have compiled a course using our many years of experience which teaches the concept
of handcuffs rather than a set course. We believe that security officers should have the skills
needed to restrain a violent subject safely until police can attend, however long that may take. We
also believe the speed or quik-cuff should not be used by security officers as there is no strict
supervision on their use as in government organizations. We currently have this course being
examined by a major player within the security industry with a view to obtaining additional
accreditation.
